Business Chic with Sequins

Hey Loves!

I felt inspired to throw together this quick post last minute.

To me there is nothing more feminine than a woman in pair of sleek pants with a matching blazer. I love this iridescent sequin top..I've had it for years and probably wore it twice. I also love these earrings..I think they match the top perfectly. Braids will once again be huge for spring/summer..so I added a rope braid for extra sophistication.

Wearing pink makeup is getting me inspired for Valentines Day..soOo stay tuned for my next post ;)

Quick & Easy DIY Valentines Day Jars/Vases

Hello everyone!!!

So my favorite holiday by farrrr is Valentines Day..always has been..always will be. 

I love the romance of it..thoughtful cards for no reason..bouquets of gorgeous roses..chocolate..etc etc. Anyways..I'm also a big fan of DIY projects and this year I wanted to put my own spin on painted mason jars. I knew I wanted to do shades of pink and then make them look old/used. So I picked up some paint and accessories from Michael's and then got some sand paper from my dad's garage and had some fun. I wanted mine to be a little tacky and overdone because most V-day decorations are and once flowers are in them..they'll look adorable so who cares!

(p.s. please disregard my gross nails in some of these shots..literally peeled of my gel manicure right before i started)

 Everything I used..

I mixed these two acrylic paints to achieve the 3 shades..

1st coat..

2nd coat..

 sand them down as little or as much as you'd like

 ready to accessorize

FROZEN!

Hey Loves!

So it has been absolutely FAH-REEEZING here in NJ the past few days..I seriously can't wait to move to warmer weather in a couple years! In the meantime, I'm stuck with bitter cold winters..butttt I thought I'd make the most of it and do a blog post by this AWESOME frozen waterfall! Going here to shoot was actually the most adventurous thing I've done in a while! I had to physically climb down steep rock walls and everything was covered with ice..but once I made it down.. I was so amazed by how BEAUTIFUL it was! This waterfall is literally 2 minutes away from my house but I hadn't been there since I was little on a hike with my dad. It just goes to show that beauty is all around us..we just need to take the time to appreciate it :)

New Year New Age New ME!

Happy Belated New Year Loves!

I know I skipped a few weeks of blog posts..I got caught up with family over the holidays..buttt I'm back =) Can you believe its 2014?!? I'm so excited for all that this year has to bring..I'm moving out of my parents house..I'm getting married..taking my career to new levels!..SO excited!

I get extra happy around new year because that means my birthday is right around the corner. Yesterday I turned 25..I can't believe how fast time has flown! Most people (including myself) say that 25 is like the last fun birthday..but I don't believe that anymore..I feel like I'm just starting my life and I know I'll have many more birthdays to look forward to! With that said I wanted to give you the details on my birthday look from last night.
